We were told apartment was professionally cleaned including carpets. We found out otherwise when we moved in. Carpets were not cleaned. Took lots of notes and pictures. When we moved after our lease was completed, we cleaned carpets and apartment. The leasing company would not give any of our damage deposit back until we challenged them, showed all our information and pictures. Eventually we did get a percentage back. Would suggest to document everything.
